People are quick to take sides on the war between Israel and Palestine. However, even though terrorism and killing of innocent civilians is never excusable, neither side is completely free from blame. The conflict between Israel and Palestine has been happening for many years. Usually there are little conflicts between the two where Hamas launches rockets from within Gaza’s border where they are intercepted by Israel's defense system which in the long run does not do much. However, this time it was a much more calculated attack. Militants attacked Israel's communication towers with improvised explosions and then invaded to take over different communities. They then paraglided over a music concert and gunned down many people, including elderly and children. Hamas took many innocent civilians and brought them back into Gaza as hostages. In response to the militants attack, Israel surrounded Gaza with hundreds of air strikes. The attack has cut off food, electricity, and fuel supplies until the over 150 hostages are released.
Before the attack on Israel, the people of that country were distracted by other matters. Their prime minister had just been re-elected and people were not happy about it. changes his government was proposing. Their military appears to have been distracted by this, the fact people did not want to remain silent under this new government. This led to Hamas perceiving Israel as weaker than usual. The Israelites were very cruel to the Palestinian people and as time went on it became worse. The Palestines were hoping that Biden would do something to help, but that never came. Even though the media will paint different sides as the “evil” both sides are not innocent in the war. When you read or see articles, double check their facts in other places for biased information. Unfortunately, the violence in Israel is likely to increase.
